1955 Studebaker Speedster
This car showed up to various cruise-ins one summer. After seeing what I had done to a 60 Met convertible, my friends dared me to buy this one. After some research, I decided it would be a great challenge and would leave me with a much more desirable car than a Met. It was a great opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, do my first body off restoration and spend some money. The body repair had been done and a few months after it was left in the body shop, the shop was flooded. Luckily, the engine, frame and interior was safe. When the restoration was done it went on to do well at the Studebaker shows and won its AACA Grand National Senior. It was part of the Studebaker display in the 2017 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. With an occasional outing to a show, the Speedster lives in the Northeast Classic Car Museum.
