1960 Metropolitan, my second restoration.
This car was sold by Endicott Rambler to John Sochar, then sold to DY Moore and left for twenty years in a manure pile in the town of Maine. I bought it from the person who pulled it out of the barn and for some reason I put it back together. The picture of the man I’m shaking hands with is DY Moore, the person who put it in the barn. We did not know each other, but I scheduled a first inspection on his last day of work. He was retiring after running a service station for 50 years. He had no idea his car had been restored. This car went on the win a Grand National Senior and most recently climbed Pikes Peak
